MA, LMHC CMHS- Independent Therapist

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Child Mental Health Specialist in Washington State. I have been working in the mental health field since 1995 and have experience providing counseling to children, teens, and families in agency and school settings.

My primary aim in working with children, adults, and families is to support emotional well-being and focus on improved functioning and healing. I have experience in supporting areas of:

  • Early childhood mental health (ADHD, Anxiety, emotion dysregulation, and mental health supports related to sensory preferences/processing difficulties)

  • Parental separation/transition (military, out-of-home placements, divorce, blended families)

  • Grief/loss, neglect, and abuse (primary and secondary supports for sexual assault survivors).

The methods and techniques I utilize include non-directive/directive play therapy, expressive therapy techniques, psycho-education regarding child development and mental health concerns, cognitive-behavior and mindfulness-based techniques, and trauma-informed support-based services. I value and establish collaborative partnering with parents/guardians of young children to promote attachment, support and develop regulation and coping skills, and improve functioning as well as meet personal growth goals.
